Who we are

We are

Miss Tourism Nigeria

Miss Tourism Nigeria is a national empowerment platform that celebrates the beauty, culture, and tourism wealth of Nigeria while equipping young women with the skills, visibility, and opportunities to thrive. Established as one of Nigeria’s pioneering tourism-focused pageants, the organization has evolved into a creative, educational, and impact-driven ecosystem under the leadership of Collete Nwadike, former Miss Tourism Nigeria (2014/15) and accomplished filmmaker, visual artist, and tourism strategist.

For over a decade, the pageant has discovered and groomed exceptional women who have gone on to work in entertainment, tourism, fashion, media, entrepreneurship, and public service. Our queens serve as cultural ambassadors, destination storytellers, and role models who embody Nigerian heritage and global excellence.

Our Vision

To build the strongest tourism and creative empowerment platform for young women in Nigeria, merging pageantry with arts, filmmaking, culture, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Our Mission

  • To represent Nigeria’s cultural and tourism identity on local and global stages.
  • To empower young women with creative, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills.
  • To use storytelling, films, tourism projects, and arts to strengthen national pride.
  • To build a lifelong sisterhood through a structured alumni network of queens and contestants.

Welcome to

THE NEW ERA OF MISS TOURISM NIGERIA

Under its renewed leadership, Miss Tourism Nigeria is expanding beyond the traditional competition format. The organization now includes:

The Miss Tourism Nigeria Summit

A pre-pageant empowerment event featuring:

  • Panel discussions with tourism and creative industry leaders
  • Workshops and masterclasses (tourism media, branding, leadership, filmmaking, painting, entrepreneurship)
  • Networking sessions with tourism boards, brands, and industry innovators
  • Cultural showcases, exhibitions, and creative collaborations

This Summit positions Miss Tourism Nigeria as a serious national institution contributing to the growth of tourism, creative economy, and female leadership.

African Beauty – The Film Project

Inspired by the original 30-episode TV series “African Beauty” created by Collete Nwadike, the organization is producing a new feature film remake that tells the real stories behind pageantry in Nigeria.

Contestants who are passionate about acting or filmmaking will have the opportunity to:

  • Be cast in the film
  • Join crew roles behind the scenes
  • Learn production skills
  • Build portfolios and professional experience

The film is both an empowerment initiative and a cultural storytelling project highlighting the challenges, resilience, and triumphs of Nigerian women in pageantry.

Creative Arts Empowerment

Delegates will engage in art therapy, painting challenges, and creative expression through Collete’s visual arts background, including works from her Genesis Series and new projects. This helps build confidence, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness.

“Tourism in My State” Video Initiative

Every contestant produces a short tourism documentary promoting her state’s attractions, culture, and heritage.

These videos become official assets of the organization and a national tourism archive.

A Reimagined Pageant Experience

The 2026 edition introduces:

  • State cultural costume showcase
  • Fitness and wellness activities
  • A collaborative 6x7ft Unity/Peace painting for the opening dance
  • Yacht welcome mixer
  • Tourism-centered camp curriculum
  • Community outreach and service projects
  • A strong emphasis on branding, social impact, and sustainability
